Kipp Johnson Profile

Kipp Johnson completed his Master’s in Horn performance at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano Switzerland, with teachers David Johnson and Sandro Ceccarelli in 2009. In 2007, Kipp received his B.M. in Horn performance (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Southern California, studying with Richard Todd, Dr. Kristy Morrell, and James Thatcher. During his studies, Kipp has performed in four countries over two continents under such conductors as Sir Colin Davis, John Williams, Carl St.Clair, Larry Livingston, H. Robert Reynolds, and Sir Lionel Friend. Not only a performer, Kipp also remains active as a composer, arranger, and sound engineer.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Kipp is an avid reader, card player, and sports enthusiast. He attributes his successes to the support he has received from his loving family and friends.
